Dec 15 – Semester End Agenda

Dec. 15th Semester End Agenda

The last day of HARI School for this semester is on Sunday, Dec. 15th. That day will feature the semester exam (information to go home via email to all parents). Students are expected to arrive at school on time as exam will begin at 10:30 am. Upon completion of the exam students will be dismissed for the semester and given a snack/drink for the ride home. Our expectation is that students will be finished by 11 am or shortly after. Parents need to be aware that this is a shortened day and must be at Third World Center by 11 am for pickup.

The new semester begins on Sunday, Jan. 5th with collection of payment for the remainder of the year. We will conduct parent-teacher conferences on this day to provide parents with information on their child’s progress to date. This will also be a shortened day, more information will be coming home via email and on the Facebook page.
We wish all of you a Happy Holiday Season and a Joyous New Year.

HARI Seva day: Thank you!

HARISevaThankYouDear HARI Families and Friends:

Our most recent school-wide event Seva Day was the first time our community gathered in a day of service. The act of sorting and bagging canned goods and boxed food, although so simple and methodical, allowed our group (even the youngest children) to put 300 Thanksgiving bags together which will assist over 1,200 people this Thursday with their meal. The Thanksgiving celebration is one that was developed in order to give thanks for the blessings we have.

I would like to thank all of you for your contributions towards our Seva Day. Through your generosity and support we donated almost 200 canned goods and 57 Stop & Shop gift cards which will help so many families. Sixty people from our school joined us at Federal Hill House to perform service and give back to the community. This needs to be acknowledged and commended for the giving of your time.

Here at HARI we hope to offer such opportunities when students, parents and teachers can come together for the betterment of others in our community.

Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving,

and Season’s Greetings
